About Us
Red Mountain Capital Group is a commodities brokerage firm specializing in professionally managed futures accounts.
John Schuberth is the founder and principal of Red Mountain Capital. He began his financial career as a stockbroker with a major wire house and later had the opportunity to be an options trader in the pits of the Chicago Board Options Exchange. He spent the majority of his career as an equity options market maker on the trading floor. After leaving the financial center of Chicago to raise a family in Colorado, he started Red Mountain Capital with the goal of sharing his knowledge and experiences with investors.
Red Mountain Capital focuses on wealth creation through prudent money management by offering access to a wide variety of money managers, or Commodity Trading Advisors ("CTAs"). We can recommend a commodities allocation spread across multiple CTAs to diversify within the alternative investments asset class with the intent of maximizing performance potential while attempting to mitigate risk. We continuously monitor the performance of our recommended CTAs in order to recommend re-balancing allocations if and when necessary. Please be advised that trading futures and options involves substantial risk of loss no matter who is managing your money. Such an investment is not suitable for everyone.
Red Mountain Capital clears its business through Vision Financial Markets LLC. Vision is one of the largest Futures Commission Merchants in the world and a leading provider of customer clearing services. Vision is well capitalized and client focused and has been in business for over twenty years. In addition, Vision is a self-clearing member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade, and a member of the National Futures Association. Vision has received the designation of "CME Group Education Partner" and will work in tandem with the CME Group to educate the public on the virtues, benefits and risks of managed futures. Please be aware that trading futures and options involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors. An investor could lose more than the original investment.
